You need to bring supplies OR buy participant kits from the speaker for some sessions. The session description gives the information to purchase. KITS NEED TO BE PAID FOR IN TIME FOR THE SUPPLIES TO BE MAILED TO YOU. You can filter for these sessions using: Purchase or gather supplies.

Teaching history but your students aren't interested? Want to get them engaged in what they are learning and be excited to come to your class? This is the session for you. There will be a variety of different activities and tasks presented that will help you engage your students, encourage them to think critically and bring history to life. We will be exploring how to use a variety of different sources including primary sources, graphic novels, novels, simulations, projects and more! Unlike traditional lessons where students take notes and listen to lectures, students are able to learn through a variety of different sources developing different skills and strengths. This allows for those with different strengths and abilities to access the content in a variety of ways and be a positive contributing member of their class. All students will be able to find success and demonstrate work to their potential. The assessment from these activities covers many humanities core outcomes. You will walk away with the set of lessons, activities, assessment/projects and more!
