You need to bring supplies OR buy participant kits from the speaker for some sessions. The session description gives the information to purchase. KITS NEED TO BE PAID FOR IN TIME FOR THE SUPPLIES TO BE MAILED TO YOU. You can filter for these sessions using: Purchase or gather supplies.

Sharpen your knives, clean off your cutting board, grab your ingredients and log on. Chef Duane Sovyn will lead you through the preparation of Chicken Satay, Coconut Rice Pilaff and a Spicy Peanut Sauce.  Upon completion sit back and enjoy your feast from Thailand! For this session each participant will need to purchase their own ingredients so they may cook along with me. 

Duane Sovyn is a Red Seal Chef and Culinary Arts Teacher from W. H. Croxford high school. Prior to teaching high school, Duane worked at SAIT running themed cooking classes and team building cooking events. His ability to showcase cuisine from cultures around the world while instructing with enthusiasm on how to prepare the dishes makes any course he facilitates a 'Must Attend'.

Shopping List for Thai Cooking
1 chicken breast (or 8 shrimp 31-40 count if you do not want chicken)
4 skewers (not needed if do not want to skewer)
1 stalk of Lemongrass
2 cloves Garlic
1 red onion
1 yellow onion
Brown Sugar 60ml (¼ cup)
Turmeric 5ml (1 tsp) (this a bit pricey, ask a neighbor if you do not have it)
Coriander 5ml (1 tsp) (this a bit pricey, ask a neighbor if you do not have it)
Soy sauce 15ml (1 Tbsp) 
coconut milk 400ml can
Black Pepper for seasoning
Salt for seasoning
Sesame Oil (can be substituted with Canola)
Canola oil
Peanut Butter (Smooth or Chunky)
1 cup uncooked rice (jasmine or Basmati)
Sambul Oleck (Chili Paste)
Cilantro, I Bunch
