Feedback form is now closed.
Listen to the telling of an Indigenous legend about the talking feather and then create your own talking feather to use in the classroom as part of a talking circle. Materials will be provided. We will demonstrate how this lesson can be adapted to fit primary through to high school grades. This session is designed for teachers who would like to infuse Indigenous ways of knowing into their classroom, no matter what grade or subject they teach - it can be linked to curricular outcomes in math, science, social studies and English/ language arts!
Pre-registration is required so that supply kits can be mailed to participants in advance of the virtual session.
1. At least 2 weeks before convention, please email your name and mailing address and email address to ja_mcd@hotmail before sending the e-transfer.
2. Then please transfer $8 to ja_mcd@hotmail.com to cover the cost of supplies and postage and be sure to use the same email address for the email you send and the e-transfer so the payment can be matched up.
There is a limit of 30 participants.
When the session is full, it will say FULL in the session title.
