30D Exploring Sustainability Through an Indigenous Lens: Getting Started with Your Students

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
In this interactive workshop designed for teachers of all grades, explore the concept of sustainability and our relationship to the natural world through both Eurocentric and Indigenous lenses. Gain confidence that you don’t need to be an expert to start your journey into Indigenous knowledge systems and pedagogies but rather, an open mind and heart and a willingness to explore new ideas with your students. Drawing on authentic resources, learn how you can weave Indigenous perspectives into your everyday teaching in a way that engages the cognitive, physical, emotional and spiritual self and fosters deep learning around the notion of sustainability. If these ideas sound intriguing but also fill you with trepidation, this workshop is for you!
